Primeira Lei de Kepler: Lei das Órbitas Elípticas (Astronomia)

Kepler's first law rejected circular orbits and demonstrated that an ellipse could better explain the observed movements of Mars. When extended to all planets, the law determined that the orbit of planets follows an elliptical shape, with the Sun at one of its foci.
